Summer Intensive Dance School
Each summer, Citie Ballet runs a two-week intensive dance school for dancers aged 10 or more. Cite Ballet’s artistic director teaches these summer workshops in ballet, repertoire, choreography and modern dance, with assistance from noted guest instructors drawn from throughout the world of ballet.
Meet a Ballerina
Do you know a group of youngsters who would be thrilled to meet a ballerina? Citie Ballet can make that happen! We’ll arrange to have a Citie Ballet ballerina do an hour-long visit at a playschool, kindergarten, or elementary school. Our real-life ballerina will talk to the children about dancing, show them what pointe shoes look like, teach them some ballet steps, do a small demo, and pose for pictures with the children.
By-request performances
Each year, in addition to its three staged productions, Citie Ballet performs at several by-request bookings. These include benefits, galas and community events.
